Designed by architect Jeremy Pern, the Ouidah Golf Club layout is rooted in the preservation of the Avlékété site. The routing was carefully shaped to avoid and protect the sacred forest areas and the remarkable trees already present. Rather than transforming the landscape, the course follows the natural terrain: water bodies and coconut groves dictate the lines of play, creating a setting where sport coexists sustainably with the lagoon’s ecosystem.
On the playing side, this 18-hole course offers an engaging technical challenge without being punishing. While the water hazards and dense vegetation call for precise scoring management, the fairways remain wide and welcoming for players of all levels. It is a balanced course that lets competitors test their strategy while offering a smooth experience for beginners. The round ends on a final Par 4 that brings players right in front of the clubhouse, for an arrival opening onto the terrace and its members.
